Lee Killough
Science Fiction, Supernatural, Mystery, Speculative Fiction, Urban Fantasy

Lee Killough has spent most of her physical life in Kansas...except for an interesting stay in Washington DC during the hippie era at the end of the 70's...but due to discovering science fiction at age eleven, in her imagination she has lived all over the Galaxy. She began storytelling about age four, making up her own bedtime stories. Mostly about cowboys and horses. Once she discovered the SF and Mystery sections of the library, however, the stories became SF and mystery. With a preference in mysteries for police procedurals, thanks to the influence of TV shows like Dragnet, Highway Patrol, Naked City, and M-Squad. She also began writing the stories down...and in 1970 published her first short story "Caveat Emptor" in Analog magazine. Her short story "Symphony For a Lost Traveler" received a Hugo Award nomination in 1985. Her first novel, A Voice Out of Ramah, came out in 1979. While she began by publishing science fiction, her work has evolved into a combination of SF or the supernatural and her other favorite genre, mystery...producing stories about future cops, space going cops, vampire cops, werewolf cops, and ghost cops.
